plot #10 is 1 month today!

It was one month ago today that we went to plot #10 and cleared it out and started to think about what we wanted to plant for the season. I'm impressed with what growth has been done in the month, specifically these first few days of May.
On Saturday we went to plot #10 and spent a lot of time deciding where to plant which plants and how the garden will hopefully grow in the months to come. Tera quickly decided that we needed a little trellis for the squash and cucumbers to grow up as they get bigger. This will allow for the plants that are on the other side of the trellis to get sunlight and grow as well. The excitement that I had was the burying of the water jugs. Hopefully this will keep plot #10 nice and moist on those hot summer days. I was surprised to see how fast the water was leaving the jugs once we filled them, but as the soil adjusts to this system we won't need to water every single day until it gets much warmer.
We planted most everything from the greenhouse along with some seeds that Kelly generously gave to us. The tomato plants and those that have not shown signs of growth are still in the greenhouse but are living on the porch. In a few weeks they will be moved to plot #10.
